Bret Michaels Rock Performance For The D Las Vegas Grand Opening

Poison frontman and solo artist Bret Michaels rocked Vegas with a massive concert for thousands of fans to celebrate the grand opening of the D Las Vegas – Sin City’s newest casino – located downtown on the Fremont Street Experience (FSE). The reality star took a break from filming “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice” alongside Vegas’ own Penn Jillette and flew in from New York just in time for the concert, telling the crowd, “there was no way I was missing the grand opening of the D tonight!”

Wearing his trademark bandana and a black tank top, Michaels opened the show with classic Poison hits “Talk Dirty to Me” and “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” in addition to covers of rock classics such as Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Sweet Home Alabama.” Ensuring fans didn’t miss a second of the concert, the show streamed live on the larger-than-life plasma video wall on the D Las Vegas’ exterior, in addition to FSE’s massive Viva Vision LED canopy.

The rocker concluded the set with “Nothin’ but a Good Time.” At the end of the show, Michaels’ black electric guitar with 1980s-era musician strands was auctioned off for $3,100 to an audience member. The proceeds will go to charity.

Michaels’ concert was the first part of a weeklong mega-celebration to commemorate the grand opening of the D Las Vegas. OneRepublic will give another unforgettable performance on the Fremont Street Experience’s Third Street Stage Saturday, October 20.

The popular American rock band will perform its new single “Feel Again” as well as its most notable hits including “Good Life”, “Stop and Stare”, and “Apologize”. The band will release a new album later this year.
