Calvin Harris Celebrates MTV Video Music Awards Wins At XS Las Vegas
Hot off his two wins and DJ performances at the MTV Video Music Awards, Calvin Harris spun to a sold out crowd at XS Nightclub inside Wynn Las Vegas last night. Harris was presented with a monstrous cake in celebration of his trophies.
The electronic music superstar took home awards for “Best Video†for his collaboration with Rihanna on “We Found Love†as well as made huge strides for the dance music genre when awarded the first Moonman trophy in the brand new “Best EDM Video†category for “Feel So Closeâ€.
The resident DJ began his set shortly after 1 am when he was surprised on stage by XS Managing Partner Jesse Waits with a giant cake in the form of the iconic hardware. Harris was stunned by the presentation.
After getting on the mic to thank the club and all of his fans, he amped up the energy and played a monumental set into the early hours of the morning. There wasn’t an empty spot anywhere inside the award-winning venue’s 40,000 square feet, as clubgoers packed the dance floor and poolside patio from wall to wall.
Familiar faces in the crowd included Olympian Michael Phelps and social networking entrepreneur Tom Anderson, most famously known as Tom from MySpace. Photoscredit: Danny Mahoney/XS nightclub
