“In our first year, EDMbiz united key tastemakers and business leaders in the dance music community in an intimate setting at a critical point in time,” said Pasquale Rotella, CEO and founder of Insomniac. “Our conversations made headlines; major business deals were announced and initiated. This year our team is working around the clock to capture the state of our thriving community and to create an environment to nurture even more business.”

The conference focuses on moving EDM forward on a credible and thriving path while uniting industry leaders and pioneers with peripherally connected businesses and ambitious entrants. EDMbiz will facilitate relevant discussions focused on the most pertinent topics and issues specific to the scene including: best practices, branding, direct-to-fan relationships, festivals, licensing, social media, sponsorships, technology platforms, and sustaining community, humanity and credibility during a period of massive growth.

Panelists and keynote speakers are assembled to offer a diverse array of perspective toward the conversations and current debates facing the industry. Last year’s conference presented riveting keynotes by Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino, William Morris Endeavor Head of Music Marc Geiger, and Atlantic Records Chairman and CEO Craig Kallman.

The artist panel featuring Kaskade, Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello, Jono Grant and Tony McGuinness from Above and Beyond, Richie Hawtin, and Rebecca and Fiona, allowed for participants to hear directly from the most influential artists in the scene.

Demand for the conference is very strong. In order to maintain the exclusivity and intimacy of the conference, attendance will be capped. The conference is anticipated to sell out quickly so early registration is greatly encouraged. The first round of speakers and special event will be announced soon.

Registration opened on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at 12 p.m. Pacific Time at www.edmbiz.com. Participants will enjoy an opening night party on Tuesday, June 18, two days of panels, keynotes, presentations, announcements, demos and unparalleled networking, a closing party on Thursday, June 20, and complimentary entrance to Las Vegas’ finest nightclub venues aligned with EDC Week events.
