Earlier in the day prior to the concert, Foster the People invited fans and local Las Vegas residents to join in on an afternoon of volunteering at The Cambridge Recreation Center. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. volunteers came together with band members Cubbie Fink and Mark Pontius and local artist Jerry Misko to bring art inspired restoration to the Cambridge Skate Park located at 3930 Cambridge, Las Vegas.

Together, the crowd of volunteers helped to create a mural with the goal of visually creating an environment that provides additional inspiration to the kids that skate at the park on a daily basis. The effort was part of Foster the People’s Do Good Project, which is an effort to inspire fans to give back to their communities.

Foster the People released their chart-topping, acclaimed debut Torches in May 2011. The album, which includes the four-time platinum single “Pumped Up Kicks,” catapulted the band into a whirlwind of successes leading into 2012’s Grammy nominations for “Best Alternative Album” and “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.”
