'Meet The Winemaker' Event At Morels French Steakhouse & Bistro 3/18

Bergevin Lane Vineyards on Friday, March 18, are taking the first steps to bring new wines to diners’ palates with a special “Meet the Winemaker” event from 6 – 9 p.m. When Alexandre Brard began working as the wine director at Morels French Steakhouse & Bistro, he immediately began to develop plans to create new ways to introduce guests to boutique wines from around the globe.

During the three-hour event, guests can meet one of the owners of Bergevin Lane Vineyards, Amber Lane, as she pours tastings of three of Bergevin Lane Vineyard’s wines. In addition, those dining at Morels during the event can enjoy special bottle pricing of the Bergevin Lane selections.“Bergevin Lane offers some amazing, high-scoring wines,” said Brard. “These wines are amazing and we are pleased to have them come to Morels to introduce their label to our guests.”

Wines being poured during “Meet the Winemaker” are: Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley 2008 – the assemblage of three different distinct terroirs – elegance with structure, minerality and concentration makes this Cabernet explosive now and complex to be age-worthy;

Intuition Reserve Bordeaux Blend Columbia Valley 2006 – Washington State has the best of both worlds – grapes are ripe, rich and fruity every year, but with underlying old world influence of terroir, earth, minerality and great natural acidity. Robert Parker rating: 93;

Syrah Oui Deux Columbia Valley – Co-fermented with 5 percent of Viognier, the most elegant and feminine Syrah of the portfolio shows the elegance and refinement from the Wahluke Slope hillside vineyard. Robert Parker rating: 91.

The wine tasting event is free and open to the public.
