A.J. ALLMENDINGER – Number 1
Allmendinger’s win Sunday in the Grand Prix of Toronto was his third straight in the series since joining Forsythe Championship Racing. He is the first American to win three consecutive Champ Car races since Al Unser Jr. did twice 12 years ago.Allmendinger finished 1.851 seconds ahead of runner-up and Las Vegas resident Paul Tracy, and trails points leader Sebastien Bourdais by just 23 points.

CHIP GANASSI – Number 2
Ganassi, the first nonracer to make the podium, and his team helped Casey Mears earn his first NASCAR victory when the team won Saturday’s Busch Series race. 

Then on Sunday, Ganassi rocked the racing world by announcing he had hired Formula 1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya to replace Mears when Mears leaves the Ganassi fold at the end of the Nextel Cup season to join Hendrick Motorsports.

It also gives NASCAR a Spanish-speaking, full-time driver. Juan Pablo Montoya, 30, a native of Colombia, won the 2000 Indianapolis 500 for Ganassi.

NASCAR Jeff BurtonJEFF BURTON - Number 3
Jeff Burton started the weekend by grabbing his second Cup pole of the year, his second pole since 2000 and only the fourth of his 13-year career that spans 421 races. He finished second to Jeff Gordon on Sunday. It was Burton’s 11th top-10 finish this year after leading 60 laps for Richard Childress Racing.
