Opera Under The Stars At MonteLago Village In Lake Las Vegas Resort
Opera Under The Stars at MonteLago Village in Lake Las Vegas Resort takes place on the Floating State September 22, 2007 at 7:30 p.m.
This free concert at such a beautiful location in Henderson, Nevada real estate is the fourth performance for “Opera Under the Stars.†The Nevada Opera Theatre chorus, orchestra and soloists will be performing.
Selections from all time favorite operas include “The Marriage of Figaro,” “Die Fledermaus,” “La Traviata,” “Carmen,” “Turandot,” “Phantom of The Opera,” “Les Miserables” and Italian love songs will be performed.
Two-time Grammy nominee Demetra George will perform. She has performed at Opera galas at The Venetian and Bellagio Hotel & Casino in addition to appearing in “La Traviata” and “La Boheme” for the Nevada Opera Theatre at Paris Las Vegas. She will be returning to New York, New York to perform a November concert.
In 2003 Matteo Bitteti performed for the Nevada Opera in “Madama Butterfly”. Bitteti along with bass Morton Hyson will be performing in Lake Las Vegas.
Shelly Martinsen and Lance Taubold and will also perform. They have worked together in productions of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “The Pirates of Penzance”.
