Bringing his South Florida flavor to The Strip, the rapper-turned-rocker arrived on the red carpet wearing an Irate Inc. black-and-white t-shirt, a white-strapped blinging watch and Nike Air tennis shoes. Mr. Ice put his fists together for the cameras, in which his tattooed fingers read “WIDE OPEN.” He told reporters, “There’s always something to do [in Vegas]. Tonight, that something to do is Studio 54.”

He spoke of his unique home-building reality show “The Vanilla Ice Project” on the DIY Network and announced the show recently picked up its second season. Speaking of the “lots of cool eye candy” that obviously cannot be found at Home Depot, the handyman said that he gets most of his home decor inspiration just by Googling what to put in his houses.

The ever-gracious rapper then posed for pictures with ecstatic fans, never turning down a request for a photo opp.

Inside the club, he did more than set the scene for the rapper’s haunted playground. Go-go dancers in sexy costumes, a snake babe, and mummies and spiders from the floor to the ceiling all added to Studio 54’s legendary Halloween party. When the chart-topper took the stage, the club darkened and the crowd went wild in anticipation.

Vanilla kicked off his performance with his song “South Side” as a glow of ghoulish green fog surrounded him onstage with a sinister clown and a bloody monster as his sidekicks. In tribute to his birthday, the rapper debuted his new song “Born on Halloween” as his spooky costumed friends threw water into the crowd. Taking it back to old school, he told the crowd “I still love Ninja Turtles, y’all,” and had the screaming fans chanting with him “Go ninja, go ninja, go!”

Confetti fell from the sky as the international music icon rapped his most well-known jam “Ice Ice Baby.” He invited female fans clad in sexy Halloween outfits onstage to dance to the infamous rap. The crowd sang along and jumped up and down to the beat throughout the entire performance.

Vanilla Ice then made his way up to his VIP booth where his 30-person entourage congratulated him on his killer performance and celebrate his birthday. An enormous three-tier birthday cake arrived as friends and fans cheered for the rhyming master.

With one breath, he blew out his candles and raised his hands in the air in celebration of yet another successful year in the life of one of the most well known rappers of all time. With DJ Loczi on the turntables spinning bumping beats, Vanilla Ice’s popping Halloween party continued early into the morning.
