Star-Studded Grand Opening At Chateau Nightclub & Gardens With Drake
Chateau Nightclub & Gardens at Paris Las Vegas celebrated an over-the-top grand opening party and red carpet on the Las Vegas Strip with a surprise performance by very special guest, Drake on Saturday, March 5, 2011.
Walking the red carpet last night were Drake, Actor Wilmer Valderrama, DJ Samantha Ronson, Holly’s World Angel Porrino and DJ Havana Brown in a body hugging gold dress.
Drake was overheard telling reporters that the night would be memorable, that he was excited to open the Strip’s hottest new nightclub and promised to bring an energy like Vegas has never seen.
Chateau exploded with excitement when Drake entered the DJ booth and shocked revelers when he hit the turntables to spin a dance mix for the crowd. He then took the mic and sang “Up All Night,” and mid-performance, walked over to the VIP area in a balcony overlooking the nightclub and where he sang a mash-up of his most popular hits including “Over” and “Miss Me.”
He went back to the DJ booth to close out his set, as the entire club had cameras flashing for the up-close-and-personal performance. It was clear to those in attendance that he didn’t disappoint.
DJ Samantha Ronson kicked off her residency with an 80’s and 90’s mix that had all the crowd dancing, and Havana Brown, the featured DJ from Britney Spears’ Circus tour, took over the turntables after Drake’s performance. Nick Cannon, who kicked off Chateau’s preview party on Friday, returned to the DJ booth Saturday for a second set.
Reggie Bush from the New Orleans Saints was also at Chateau last night, sharing bottles of vodka with a large group of friends in celebration of his 26th birthday.
Also at Chateau Nightclub and Gardens Las Vegas were television and film director/producer Brett Ratner, the San Diego Chargers’ Shaun Phillips and Stephen Cooper as well as Ndamukong Suh of the Detriot Lions. Photo Credit: Denise Truscello/ www.wireimage.com
