When we arrived at this beautiful resort we were quickly transported to a Moroccan inspired sanctuary of Spa Moulay, steps from cabanas, pool and overlooking Lake Las Vegas. As an Aveda Concept Spa and Salon they offer a variety of salon services, skin care, massages spa treatments and body therapies utilizing the Aveda culture.
I was greeted by massage therapist Kwang, who presented me with a choice of Ylang Ylang, Tangerine or Vanilla aromas for my Aveda Alemental NatureSM Moulay Massage. I chose Tangerine that was also Kwang’s favorite.
Was very relaxing to receive an aroma filled massage from my head to toes and fingers. I especially enjoyed the deep-tissue on my feet and hands. These areas seem to accrue much of one’s stress and once loosened a great feeling of relief was felt to the rest of the body.
During the massage the Tangerine oil was placed near to intensify the effect of the sweet smell. When they affected more of the senses during the Aveda aroma massage, gave me a chance to remove myself from the fast paced Las Vegas lifestyle and concentrate on de-stressing.
I felt relaxed during the treatment while Kwang found some much need areas of tension including arches, center chest, scapula, palms, left shoulder a neck. Every bit of the massage led by a caring therapist.
