Since Tito was looking at the best UFC light heavyweight in the world, that wasn’t enough, as Chuck Liddell defended his Ultimate Fighting Championship crown for the fourth time with a third round TKO of Tito Ortiz. MGM Grand Las Vegas Garden Arena had a sell-out crowd of 14,607 in the rematch of the year.

Ortiz was a former UFC light heavyweight champion, showed courage in the UFC 66 mma main event, Liddell’s star had shown brighter tonight.

Liddell said, “This is the most satisfying win of my career,” who knocked Ortiz out in two rounds in their first MMA bout on April 2, 2004.

Under a minute to go, Ortiz got Liddell to the mat, but ‘The Iceman’ made it back to his feet.Liddell turned away Ortiz with his early round takedown attempt, but this time he jumped in and stopped the grounded challenger. Tito ‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ Ortiz again showed no fear as he hit hard, but Ortiz’ ineffectiveness in securing takedowns was his downfall. Liddell made Ortiz pay for it every time he missed. Ortiz made his final mistake, with under two minutes remaining, as the UFC champion sent his challenger to the canvas, where an attack of forced Yamasaki to halt the bout at 3:59 of the third round.Liddell wins UFC 66 at 20-3, and Ortiz drops to 16-5.
