The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale at The Pearl Theater in the Palms Las Vegas hotel on June 23, 2007. This June 23, 2007 in the Pearl at the Palms Las Vegas will showcase the 155 pound mixed martial arts fighters. Both of these fighters were hit reality series The Ultimate Fighter Season 5 coaches and will rematch in the main event on Spike TV live.

BJ Penn and Jens Pulver were the first two UFC lightweights to headline a Ultimate Fighting Championship event and launched that division. Penn has been looking for this judgment day.

Jens “Lil’ Evil” Pulver was the first UFC lightweight winner, and was undefeated in the Ultimate Fighting Championship from 1999 to 2002, scoring victories over Joao Roque, David Velasquez, Caol Uno, John Lewis and Dennis Hallman. His greatest victory occurred in his first fight with BJ Penn in January 2002 at UFC 35. He was the first man ever to defeat “The Prodigy.”

BJ “The Prodigy” Penn was nicknamed due to his meteoric rise as a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and then through the mma ranks. Penn is a fearless fighter who has competed against welterweights, lightweights and heavyweights. The Hawaiian battler may be best remembered for one of the biggest upsets in mma history when he defeated Matt Hughes in his first-ever welterweight bout in 2004. Penn can’t wait to erase that memory on June 23rd in The Ultimate Fighter 5 Finale.
