WICKED Hosts Benefit Concert of 'The WICKED Rocky Horror Show' Sept 24

WICKED will host “THE WICKED ROCKY HORROR SHOW”, a staged concert performance of Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show – Book, music & lyrics by Richard O’Brien by the National Touring Company On Monday, SEPTEMBER 24, at 7:30pm. Held at The New Tropicana Las Vegas Historic Showroom, the event will feature the company of WICKED.

The net proceeds of this event will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and Las Vegas’s Golden Rainbow.

“THE WICKED ROCKY HORROR SHOW” is part of an ongoing series of performances by the touring company throughout the country to support charitable causes which advance WICKED’s theme of acceptance and illuminate the musical’s message that people should not be judged on first impressions. The company believes that in these divisive times we must come together to support those in need throughout the country and around the world. In its 7 years on the road, the company has raised over $2,000,000 in donations for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and local AIDS Services organizations all over the country.

Produced by company members, the evening is an opportunity for them to step out of their roles in the musical and kick up their (spiked) heels as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Riff Raff, Magenta, Rocky, Janet and Brad. The evening will feature company members including: Nicole Parker (Elphaba); Patti Murin (Glinda); Kim Zimmer (Madame Morrible); Justin Brill, (Boq); as well as members of the ensemble, band, and the touring staff. The event will be directed by company member Timothy A. Fitz-Gerald with choreography by Napoleon W. Gladney & Shanna VanDerwerker. Musical direction provided by Andrew Graham.

Admission to “THE WICKED ROCKY HORROR SHOW” is by donation. General admission tickets are $60. VIP tickets, which include priority seating and a 6:30pm pre-show reception with members of the company, are available for $125. All proceeds benefit BC/EFA and Golden Rainbow, and donations are tax-deductible.

The Tropicana bar staff will be serving throughout the evening. The evening is intended for mature audiences, and parental discretion is advised. Admission is limited to ages 16 and older (21+ to purchase alcoholic beverages). The Wicked Rocky Horror Show is produced through special arrangement with Samuel French Inc.

In addition to the performance, there will be live and silent auctions including several opportunities to join the company backstage at the The Smith Center, including a chance to bid on a walk-on role in WICKED where you will join the cast onstage in a performance of WICKED.

WICKED, Broadway’s biggest blockbuster is playing is now playing through October 7th in Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center. Good seats are still available with best selection in Tuesday and Wednesday performances.
